Molesey is always fun- a well-situated municipality southwest of London. Decent live Rock-n-Roll, a seemingly endless choice of ethnic restaurants, a winning futbol team to cheer for and… my first ParkRun! And even though the chill was in the air the trees and gardens were showing their colors. (Pictures)
But we were off the seek out spring's offerings further afield. Off to the airport at an ungodly early hour so we would arrive in to experience Easter a la Napoli. Easter was the least of it…Napoli's futbol team was headed for a A series championship and the celebration already looked to be in full swing. Not merely a festive atmosphere but 'electric'! The Quartieri Spagnoli was party central. Great people-watching and fun to share that celebratory energy. There were areas of the city that came with cautionary notes. Not unfounded but also avoidable. A highlight of Napoli was the castle. Well worth a visit for the view alone. Good mass-transit filled in the gaps of some great city walking.
